Review of 2016 with Sales and Marketing Team.

Dec / 23 / 2016

Christmas is both a sacred religious holiday and a worldwide cultural and commercial phenomenon. It is celebrated by Christians worldwide in honour of the birth of Jesus Christ, a spiritual leader whose teachings form the basis of their religion. It is usually a time where popular customs include exchanging gifts, decorating Christmas trees, attending church, sharing meals with family and friends and, of course, waiting for Santa Claus to arrive, are celebrated not just by Christians but by non religious people as well.

To commemorate the Christmas season, the Devtraco Plus Sales and Marketing Team gave an insight into how 2016 has been for Devtraco Plus.

How has the year been?

The year started on a good note. The year started with the focus on Avant Garde at Labone. It was part of 3 projects we were working on. It was completed in March with our first tenant moving in on 1st march. We had a grand opening shortly after which was very successful. At the time of the grand opening there were about 5 units left and about 4 months after the grand opening, the building was sold and rented out, much to the delight of our investment clients. Following the success of Avant Garde, we launched the Edge also at Labone. We launched a marketing/communications campaign in July and had the grand sales event in September. The Edge has been the highlight of our year. After the grand sales event, it was 50% sold out and as of now it is 90% sold out. We have a few more projects coming up in the next year that we hope will be as successful as The Edge and Avant Garde. It has been a very good year for us.

What were some of the challenges you faced this year?

The instability of the Ghanaian economy made the housing market quite slow. This year being an election year didn’t make things easier; Investors were unsure about the outcome of the elections and didn’t want to commit to any signings. However, as a leader has been peacefully elected and the dust has settled, business has picked up again. Other than this, we had a pretty good year in general.

What are your plans for 2017?

For 2017, we plan to launch new developments which we would prefer to keep under wraps for now, and to build on our previous successes. We are also hoping to complete The Edge by 2018. We have quite a lot in store for 2017. We urge our clients and any interested investors and potential homeowners to keep following our progress. There are new things to come.

What is your Christmas message for your customers and Ghanaians in general?

We wish our cherished and loyal clients and partners a merry Christmas. We say thank you to the banks, our construction partners, architect partners and sub contractors for being with us this year and we wish them a fruitful and successful new year. We also hope to keep a healthy business relationship with all of them in the next year. 2016 has been a good year and especially a victory for Ghana in terms of peace and we hope 2017 is even better.
